Vishing attackers steal personal and financial details of unsuspecting victims using the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls. With VoIP and IP telephony penetrating markets, vishing frauds are likely to be a trend in 2008. Vishing is very hard for legal authorities to monitor or trace. To protect themselves, consumers are advised to be highly suspicious when receiving often automated messages directing them to call and provide credit card or bank numbers. SECODE STOP HACKING SERVICE: SECODE WINS CONTRACT WITH NORWEGIAN LABOUR AND WELFARE ORGANISATION(SECODE, JANUARY 21ST 2008 - Arnt Ove Nedrebų) Secode recently signed a contract with the Norwegial Labour and Welfare organisation (NAV). The deliverables are advanced Intrusion Prevention services and state of the art hardware. The contract value is NOK 3 million, and is an important win for Secode showing that the company's early research and service offering in this segment has been successful. Secode was the first north European Managed Security Services (MSS) company succeeding in gaining commercial contracts involving the IPS technology and a managed service offering as early as in 2004.
